truclient event handler for error events/timeouts

It would be nice to have a generic event handler for error events on any step, so the script can gracefully logout from an application. Currently event handlers seem to focus on objects, but not on error events like a timeout. I would use this feature for all steps after a login.

Hi,

A Catch error step can meet your request.  A Catch error step traps an error in the immediately preceding step.  The preceding step can be a single step or a group step.

As there is no global try/catch, the idea is still good espacially if we have several actions in our Truclient script.

So the idea is aim to add a global error handler mechanism in TruClient. Then the user don't have to add try/catch for every actions in a TruClient script. Do you think this is both you and @gino8098doj 's requirement?

Hey Edwin,

I think adding an example in your documentation that you can use try/catch in a "group step" in any/all action(s) may be one way of addressing this.  This combo approach is just not very intuitive.

Yes the idea is to have a global error handler mechanism (like event handler). And as I wrote, espacially if we have several "Actions" in our Truclient script.
