Can't run even the simplest java script

Hi All,

I have VuGen 12.01 and cannot run even the simplest java script.  If I add a new script of type Java Vuser, I can compile it but running it fails with a popup that says "An error occurred."  Additionally, the VuGen log contains this:

2015-08-18 15:45:39,335 SharpDevelop  [  1] ERROR - An error has occurred.

If I purposefully make a syntax mistake, I get a compiler error.  With no syntax error, I get "an error has occurred."

Running as administrator doesn't make any difference.

Any ideas?

thanks

john

Re: Can't run even the simplest java script

Hi JohnGregg,

It could be a problem with the parsing of the code.
Please try to disable the parser from Tools -> Options -> Scripting -> Parser -> uncheck Enable C language parser.

In Vugen 12.x an error in the Script parsing engine could appear due to a usage of Special characters in a LoadRunner function parameters such as “(“, “ %”, “#”, “/”, “- “, “+”

If it is a parcing problem please find a knowledge document which contains a fix for Vugen 12.02 and a workaround for VuGen 12.00 and 12.01
