HTTP script stopped in VuGen 12.50 without any error

1. This HTTP script was developed in VuGen 12.2 and was running OK in both VuGen and a Performance Center.

2. A few month ago VuGen was upgraded to 12.5

3. Today I executed this script in VuGen 12.5 (against a new version of the application) and it stopped without any error.
The same script failed in Performance Center 12.2 due to Content verification rule failure and a valid error was captured in a log file.
This script was broken by application changes and stopped about at the same line in both VuGen and PC.

Why I do not see any error while executing this script in VuGen and how to fix it?

Re: HTTP script stopped in VuGen 12.50 without any error

Hello Yurym,

Have you tried to run the script on VuGen with full extended logs?

If not, please try it and let me know the outcome.

Re: HTTP script stopped in VuGen 12.50 without any error

Daniela, when I tried executing this script in VuGen 12.50 with full extended log:
1) intially log records were created OK up to a point of failure
2) then script has stopped (and "Replay" button became enabled) without any error message.

Re: HTTP script stopped in VuGen 12.50 without any error

Yurym,

Please go to the installation folder C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\LoadRunner\config and search for the vugen.ini, and rename it something like vugen.ini.old, then go again to Vugen and replay again.

Re: HTTP script stopped in VuGen 12.50 without any error

Daniela,
I have renamed C:\Program Files\HP\Virtual User Generator\config\vugen.ini file.
Script stopped in the same manner without any error message.

Re: HTTP script stopped in VuGen 12.50 without any error

The same issue happened with a new HTTP script that was developed in VuGen 12.5.

It stopped without any error.

Re: HTTP script stopped in VuGen 12.50 without any error

Yurym,

Please change in the log.config.xml (this log can be found C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\LoadRunner\config)

instead this:

<logger name="UTT">

   <level value="ERROR" />

  </logger>

  <logger name="VUGEN">

    <level value="ERROR" />

  </logger>

To this:

<logger name="UTT">

    <level value="DEBUG" />

  </logger>

  <logger name="VUGEN">

    <level value="DEBUG" />

  </logger>

save it and try to reproduce the issue again. This is going to generate a new log on the temp folder. the file is: HP.Default_Vugen.log

Please share it so maybe we can have a clue about what is going on.
