How to handle the PKI certificates in TruClient- IE script for Web application in LR12?

Hi,

We want to use the TruClient IE  Protocol for performance testing of our web application. We use PKI certificate for accessing the application. Right now we are using Traditional Web protocol for scripting in which we are using web_set_certificate() method to use the certificate &  we have add the .pem certificate  file to the script folder.

We have LR12 version & IE11 with us. When we are trying to record the application with TruClient IE protocol,  nothing is getting recorded for selecting the certificate (To access the application we import the .p12 certificate file in the IE browser). So we don't have  any idea how to use these scripts in PC for execution. Can we add any function/method to handle this certificates in TruClient Scripts?

Could you please let us know how to  handle the PKI certificates in TruClient- IE script?

Hi,

Usually a dialog choosing the right CC (Client Certificate) should pop-up and TC IE knows how to record it (it is being saved as CC.pfx in the script directory). In some occasions when this auto detection fails from some reason you can still do it manualy from the General Setting dialog:

Thanks Rosenthal.

In this case user will take only one certificate while accessing the application which is exported in the script folder.

What if there are 20 users & we want each user to use unique certificate while accessing the application( in above case all the users will take same certificate).

so any suggestion in this scenario?

Hello,

We do not support this case (Certificate parametrization lets call it).

It is in our backlog and there is also a public Enhancment Request on it.

Thanks.

As of June 2016, does the latest version of TruClient support "certificate parametrization"? Nothing found online thus far.

Thanks!
