How to schedule more runs with Scenario Schedule

Hi,

Can anyone explain me the functionality of the option "New Schedule" on the "Scenario Schedule" frame of the Controller "Run" page?

Can I design and define more runs through this option? I've try to test two script, defined as different schedules (Schedule 1 and Schedule 2), but the result file (.lrr) is referred to the last test, so first run's data are lost.

Thanks a lot for the support,

Lorenzo

Re: How to schedule more runs with Scenario Schedule

Hi,

LoadRunner scheduler allows you to create different scheuling patterns that are saved in the context of the scenario. At any given point of time only one of the scheduling pattern can be used.

I doubt if the result files were deleted as a result of switching between one scheduler pattern to another. It is more likely that you run the scenario and didn't create a new result folder before doing so.  Check the Results dialog and make sure a new result folder is created per run or choose to override only when the previous run results is not important for you.

Re: How to schedule more runs with Scenario Schedule

Hello Loreanzo,

As you may know, a scenario schedule contains a series of actions that instruct the scenario when to start running a Vuser group, how to initialize Vusers, when to start and stop running Vusers, and how long to run an action.

The New Schedule option is to create a new configuration on your schedule, so you can have different options that you can select before to start the execution of the test.

On the other hand, each data is going to be lost if you decide to rewrite the data after the execution of a new test, you can save it agan on a different path, so you can be sure that you are going to have another result folder.

Re: How to schedule more runs with Scenario Schedule

By the way, if you wish to have a different schedule for each group you can use "by group" option in the scheduler and define a schedule for each group
