Issue with web_reg_save_param_attrib function in lr 12.53

Jump to solution

Hi,

I have recorded and enhanced script in loadrunner 12.60 Vugen. My script has  web_reg_save_param_attrib();  function for correlation.

Now Same script i am trying to run in 12.53 version. but i am getting error "Error -- Unresolved symbol : web_reg_save_param_attrib."

One thing i can do is regenerate script and correlate in 12.53 but that is not possible due to multiple issues.can anyone tell me, how can i use that function in lr 12.53? or is there any other function like this.

This is a new function. I would translate it to a regular expression: web_reg_save_param_regexp().

Scan your logging for the format of the required tag.

E.g. you might have (taken from 12.60 documentation):

<input value='pmFnZxL' Name ='session_id' Type ='hidden'/>

  Your web_reg_save_param_attrib might look like:

web_reg_save_param_attrib(
	"ParamName=mySession",
	"TagName=INPUT",
	"Extract=VALUE",
	"Name=session_id",
	"Type=HIDDEN",
	SEARCH_FILTERS,
	"IgnoreRedirections=No",
	LAST);

You can translate this by looking for the exact message (note this is case sensitieve and the order of attributes are important):

web_reg_save_param_regexp(
	"ParamName=mySession",
	"RegExp=<input value='(.*?)' Name ='session_id' Type ='hidden'",
	SEARCH_FILTERS,
	"IgnoreRedirections=No",
	LAST);

You can also try to define a C function with that name and use the compatible corelation function in that function. You will need to pass the attributes of your existing correlation and use them as arguments in the user defined function.
