Hi ,

As we work across different protocol for various application. we want to know how Vugen is compatible across various protocols.Does a protocol in loadrunner is browser dependent. Do we have documentation specific to Vugen and its browser comaptibility.

What are the softwares required for the particular protocol to record Vugen.

Re: LR : Vugen: How to check compatibility of softwares / browsers with existing VUGEN installed

Hello Sagar,
Your question is a bit broad and for different protocols there are different requirements. For example, the most common protocol, Web HTTP/HTML can record a script against specific browsers that are supported, but the generated script runs independently from the browser you have in your machines, as it directly sends the requests to the server using its proprietary replay engine. TruClient is dependant on the browser on your machine if you are using Internet Explorer. Otherwise, it uses the FireFox and Chromium that are included with the software (v12.53). Other protocols, like Citrix, work with a specific Citrix Client installed on the machine.

Please check the Product Availability Matrix in the specific Product's Help Center link (you can change the version on the upper-left) for more information on each protocol. Hope this helps.
