Load Runner command line execution issue

Hi,

I am trying to execute load tests from command using the following syntax, the issue is that since the name of the test scenario contains "spaces", the controller is not considering the full name of the scenario, but throwing an error saying the test name(upto the first space) does not exist.

What is the correct syntax to achieve what I am trying to do?

I am using windows server 2008 with HP Load Runner 12.01. As far as I remember this used to work in Load Runner 11.

Command:

wlrun.exe -ConnectToQC 1 -QCServer http://***/qcbin -QCDB DOMAIN.PROJECT -UserName uname -Password pass -TestPath "[TD]\Subject\Performance\Billing Address / Scenario" -Run

Re: Load Runner command line execution issue

Can  you explain the tilde(~) here please? Is it a wildcard character here? I tried with the following commands but got the same error again.

Commands:

wlrun.exe -ConnectToQC 1 -QCServer http://***/qcbin -QCDB DOMAIN.PROJECT -UserName uname-Password pass-TestPath "[TD]\Subject\Performance\Billing~Address~-~Scenario" -Run

wlrun.exe -ConnectToQC 1 -QCServer http://***/qcbin -QCDB DOMAIN.PROJECT -UserName uname-Password pass-TestPath "[TD]\Subject\Performance\Billing~" -Run

wlrun.exe -ConnectToQC 1 -QCServer http://***/qcbin -QCDB DOMAIN.PROJECT -UserName uname-Password pass-TestPath "[TD]\Subject\Performance\Billing~1" -Run

Re: Load Runner command line execution issue

Lavneesh,

the thing which is missing here is double quotes for the QCServer address and  in your command line i added a -TestId parameter.

wlrun.exe -ConnectToQC 1 -QCServer "http://***/qcbin" -QCDB "DOMAIN.PROJECT" -UserName uname-Password pass-TestPath "[TD]\Subject\Performance\Billing Address"  -TestId 45 -Run

tilde is generic dos to shorten the filenames. ~1, ~2 etc.. since your are using quotes ~ is not needed.
