LoadRunner Support Tip: Unable to connect to SiteScope for monitoring with Controller

When adding SiteScope counters in LoadRunner Controller user gets:

Parsing error.
Details: host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, port 8888, line: 1.
Reason: Invalid at the top level of the document.
.
Contents: Hello from Connect!
[MsgId: MMSG-47587]

It means there is some other tool using port 8888, normally that application is HP VTS, but it can be anything, so customer will need to open a cmd and run netstat -ano and check what is the pid of the process using that port, and stop that process, after it customer is going to be able to get counters from SiteScope.

If you are customer you can try posting on our internal forums for more personalized support.
