MQ Tester not available in LR community edition V12.5

Jump to solution

Hi

I have to Evaluate Loadrunner on IBM MQ version 8.

Downloaded Loadrunner community edition V12.5, could not find MQTester in Additional Components folder.

Also, Downloaded a seperate zip file with Additional Components, MQTester does not exist.

Where can I download MQTester component for Loadrunner V12.5?

Thanks

Hi NUSR,

In  the LoadRunner 12.50 readme is stated that:

"The third party MQTester protocol is not longer distributed with LoadRunner."

Kind regards,

Thank you.

Do you have a sample code to establish connection to a queuemanager and put a message please?

I am not sure which command of the following to start with

lrmq_open

lrmq_begin

lrmq_connect    etc

Ideally, LR should know the hostname, port, queuemanager name, channel name to connect to queue manager. The document does not cover this.

Thanks in advacne.

Gal -

In the past you and fellow "HP Guru's" like Shlomi Nissim helped me/us out with LoadRunner --- mostly TruClient.

Who can help us out figuring out a 2017 way to test MQ?

We have no end-point application. All we have are the MQ details like Queue name, Queue Manager, message samples, etc.

We need to be able to put messages on specific MQ Queues, then attempt to read the responses coming back from whatever application is grabbing those messages. Ideally, we will find a way to measure the end-to-end processing time under load.

Can you point me/us somewhere?

It seems that we should be able to use the HP LoadRunner Community Edition to build whatever type of script we will need:

  • Java over HTTP
  • Web Services
  • etc.

Thanks, Gal.

I have been working since December (4 months) to find a working 2017 method.

Hi Randy,

The Support for MQtester remained the same between the version.

This protocol was developed by OpenText and you can find additional inftomation online
