Masking Password

Hello, I am using Load runner to do mainframe file validations.

The script requires user name and password which will be captured in the script and is displayed in logs while replaying.

Can I please know how the password can be masked so that it cant be seen in its true form in script and in logs when replay is done.

Re: Masking Password

There are built in functions available called lr_encrypt/lr_decrypt.

This way the values will not be directly visible in the scripts and logs. But there will be no security related to it.

To encrypt a string just rightclick on it and choose Encrypt string. Then the entire string will be scrambled. But it will just as easy to restore.
