New Loadrunner 12.56 server

Jump to solution

Hi,

We are going to decommission our old Loadrunner physical server. Both controller and load generator is installed on the same server.

We consider new physical server or VM server with the similar setup.

In reference to the topic - https://community.softwaregrp.com/t5/LoadRunner-Practitioners-Forum/Load-Generators-Virtual-vs-Physical/td-p/600624 could you please tell me if LoadRunner 12.56 supports virtual server installation as good as on physical server?

Hello,

VMs are very common in use by LoadRunner and Performance Center customers. In StromRunner Load VMs are even used by default as part of cloud infrastructure.  So you could work either with Physical or Virtual machines.

The only thing you should pay attention in regards to VM is to manage your EXS server to avoid overcommit  which might impact accuracy and scale.
