One Time Password/Challenge Question is being recorded in vugen but failed on replay.

Hello,

I have an Web App app for Performance Testing and after Login there will be One Time Password (SMS sent code) or Challenge Question layer before you can proceed. This is being recorded in Vugen (I used HTML/HTTP protocol) but I am failing when replayed. Is there someone have encountered this scenario? What resolution has been made or even a workaround done. Coz as far as I know, whe doing Perf Testing, all securities or the same should be bypassed or disabled.

PS: This is working in TruClient protocol but due to limited resources, web is the best option.

Thanks,

Can you describe how it is done in TruClient?

As I understand it, if you have a SMS with the needed code to use in a request, you need some script logic to know what it is.

Another attempt that you might do is use the TruClient to Web conversion process and see if you can use that as a baseline for your script.

Re: One Time Password/Challenge Question is being recorded in vugen but failed on replay.

This one time password or challenge question everytime comes when you login to the application?

If answer is YES then, try going manually into the application by enabling HTTP Watch recording or Fiddler recording and these are free. There you can check whether any missing headers on that step and include those.

If answer is NO for the above question, then you need to record multiple versions of the application : 1. with onetime password, challenge quesiton and 2. without one time password. You need to apply the logic if Step 1 is true - Enter one time password else directly go to the application.

If possible paste here the code for that step.

Thanks!
