Question with Citrix Sync Functions

using vugen 12.02.

do the functions ctrx_set_window and ctrx_sync_on_window simply check if a window is active? or do they also bring the specified window into focus? if these functions do not bring an active but hidden window into focus, is there a loadrunner function that will?

Re: Question with Citrix Sync Functions

Hello BAC Man,

Thank you for your post.

ctrx_set_window is a synchronization function that waits for a window to appear before the Vuser emulates any keyboard or mouse activity in the window.

The window_name argument indicates the name of the window that ctrx_set_window waits for, as it appears in the window's top header frame.

If there is a succession of windows appearing in a short period of time, VuGen will only record the last call to ctrx_set_window.

On the other hand, the ctrx_sync_on_window is a synchronization function that waits for a window to become created or active.
For objects that are never truly active, such as menus, use the CREATE event to synchronize your actions. For regular windows, specify the ACTIVE event, which occurs after the CREATE event. This insures that the window is stable.

Re: Question with Citrix Sync Functions

thank you for your answer but it is not helpful, it merely repeats what is in the manual.

my question pertains to whether these functions will ensure the windows are in focus. that may be different than "active".

please answer if any of the loadrunner citrix functions will bring a window into focus.
