Recording Excel activities with Truclient.

Hi All,

I need to create a script for the following scenario:

click on a report (an object in web-page), it will open the excel, we need to enter the search criteria (in the excel itself) and press enter , so it will navigate to data. (all is done by microsoft analyzer).

Please suggest if it is feasible to record the excel part by Truclient and if yes, how to proceed for it.

Thanks and Regards

Vishal Kumar

Re: Recording Excel activities with Truclient.

TruClient is basically an extension (or add-on) of browsers. In general, TruClient is designed to work with objects within browsers. TruClient can't work with objects outside browsers.

To answer your question,

if online Excel (such as Excel in Office 365) is used, TruClient can support it, because the Excel tables are actually converted to HTML objects inside web page.

if local Excel (the "standard" Excel, which is another process outside browser) is used, TruClient can't support it.
