SAPGui inside Citrix Environment

Hi,

I need a little help in understanding if VuGen scripting is working as designed or not:

My setup is to loadtest SAPGui, which is within Citrix Environment.

----------------                         -----------------
| LR VuGen    | ----------------> | Citrix Server  |
|                    |                        |      [SAPGui] |
----------------                         -----------------

At the moment, when I use multiprotocol of Citrix_ICA + SAPGui, All recorded statements are using ctrx_xxx functions. This is okay up to connecting into Citrix Session using ICA file. I'm happy with this.

But once I'm inside Citrix Desktop and when I invoke SAPGui using SAPLogon Pad, my recorded statements are not sapgui_xxx functions, instead a series of Citrix ctrx_xxx functions.

Is it how it is supposed to work? or should I actually see sapgui_xxx functions being used and recorded in VuGen script editor?

If I'm supposed to see sapgui_xxx functions, then what am i doing wrong that it is not recording in such a manner? How I can tell VuGen to record sapgui workflow as sapgui_xxx functions, even though it is inside the Citrix ICA Client desktop.

Please do note that I have already selected Multiprotocol with Citrix_ica and SAPGui. Is there anything else I need to do, so all communication between LR/VuGen and Citrix is recorded as ctrx_xxx functions and all SAPGui related are recorded as sapgui_xxx functions?

Thank you all in anticipation.

Re: SAPGui inside Citrix Environment

Since you are recording the Citrix client and not the SAPGUI client directly all the actions will be recorded as Citrix functions.

To get SAPGUI steps you need to record the SAPGUI client directly.
