SSL protocol error when attempting to connect with host "XXX.YYY.com:ZZZZ" - HTTP Protocol

Jump to solution

Hi,

I'm facing an issue -

Application - Content Based Authorization

URL - HTTPS

LoadRunner version - 11.0

Steps followed -

Recorded script using HTTP-HTML protocol

Created Entry for Server and added Client certificate

I'm able to record the script, but unable to replay - getting error message "SSL Protocol error when attempting to connect with host".

Recording log has statement - "Net An. Error    (12c0:146c)] X509 Certificate & Key combination is either invalid or does not exist!"

Replay Log has statement - "New SSL, socket=0194B2D4 [0], connection=XXX.YYY.com:ZZZZ, SSL=01969D50, ctx=01964E68, not reused, no session"

web_set_certificate_ex statement got added during recording.

Prompt response would be highly appreciated

Regards,

Gaurav

Hi,

Try to use below function at the beginning of the script. It worked for me when i hit this error.

web_set_sockets_option("SSL_VERSION", "TLS");

If its does not work talk to your Developers to know the exact SSL_VERSION USED for communication by your Application.

Thanks,

Can you check your credentials, you should be able to access this KB link, I can't copy paste this here due to copyright issues. When you do create a port mapping entry you can check for making this change in the registry:

In the Registry change
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Mercury Interactive/LoadRunner/Protocols/WPlus/SSL/OpenSSL] "ReuseSSLSession" value to 1

We had same issue on vugen 11.50,  we tried the following option which worked for us.

Run-Time Settings -> Preferences -> Select "WinInet Replay Engine instead of Sockets (Windows Only)."

Re: SSL protocol error when attempting to connect with host "XXX.YYY.com:ZZZZ" - HTTP Prot

I used web_set_sockets_option("SSL_VERSION", "TLS"). In vugen running one or two iteration it worked fine but when i started the test using load generator and controller i got pass and failed transactions (connection refuse). I'm hitting apigee  through my scripts.  any suggestions how to resolve the error?

one more question web_socket should be in action or vuser init.?

Thanks

Better to put in vuser_init rather than each action unless it's specific to some action.
