Saving Community Load Runner Results to our ALM Projects?

We test a few small applications from our individual computers employing the Community controller. We are trying to configure the best approach to making the results of these tests available to the entire team.

What is the best approach to sharing those results to the corresponding Performance Center project?

Thanks for all your help and access to your expertise.

Re: Saving Community Load Runner Results to our ALM Projects?

Hi,

It sounds like you already have an ALM Performance Center installation available that is accessible to your entire team. As you have probably found it provides a managment layer on your performance testing activities which is based on the assumption that users will create and execute load tests (using VuGen scripts) with PC managing the task of collating and analysing the results of this testing.

As such PC implements a "testing process" and manages the the test assets (scripts & results) associated with each test so as you have observed this process does not provide a way to upload results data from unrelated load testing activities.

Assuming that you have working scripts, it might be more straight forward to upload them to PC and then use PC to run the load tests again. In this way you will achieve your test results sharing objective while at the same time making the scripts used available to colleagues. There may be some initial work needed to create a project etc however the result will justify the investment.

Hope this helps,

Mark
