Re: Scripting with Xendesktop citrix---which protocol will support this kind of applications

Hi,

In order to use Citrix protocol you need to make sure you do not use Citrix Receiver for HTML5. This is a web application and it is not supported, LR Citrix protocol refers to Citrix ICA protocol. If you see that your application opens in browser then it is Citrix Receiver for HTML5.

Install Citrix Receiver on your desktop and make sure you follow LR Citrix environment requirements, you find this on help.

After you login to Citrix Storefront and click on you application, an ICA file will be downloaded. It will then open in LR Citrix client that allows recording events.

It is highly recommended to view this presentations:
Citrix Webinar Series - Session 1 - Functional Overview (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHLqLLAgliU)
Citrix Webinar Series - Session 2 - Troubleshooting (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foHhjqsCkos)
that explains common and frequently asked questions about Citrix.

Another alternative protocol can be RDP or TruClient protocol.

Best regards,

Marcel
