Text check problem with Angular JS SPA

Jump to solution

Hello Team,

We are trying to record a simple application and do a text check. The URL we are trying to record is a Angular JS SPA. But the script fails at text check upon replay. We have tried both html mode and URL mode. Below are the details:

URL being recorded: https://demo.delfi.slb.com/landing

Text check: "Welcome to the DELFI Portal"

Screenshot of the page:

Delfi.PNG

What we found was, the text "Welcome to the DELFI Portal" doesn't originate from the index page but instead comes from app.js file.

app.js.PNG

This is from the "Sources'" under chrome developer options. But we see the text as a part of HTML body in the elements too. So, we are a bit confused. And when we run the script the page doesn't load completely. There is a loader which pops up before the application page is shown and while replay, the page is stuck there.

Please provide us your insights. We have attached the script to this topic.

Thanks in advance.

We found a solution for this. We searched the text in the snapshot and used the option "Add Text Check Step" from the context menu and it worked.
