TruCLient Protocol - High Resource Utilization on Load Generator Machines

Hi,

We are testing an ERP (Infor LN) application for load testing. We have used truclient web protocol to record the scripts instead of Http/HTML protocol as through http protocol we were not able to record the network traffic.

The issue here is while performing load test of the scripts created using Truclient Web, the resource utilization (CPU and memory) of the load generator machines is above the excepted level.

We are able to load 25 users per generator machine each with 8 cores and 16BG RAM.

Any solution to use the script without utilizing resouces to its optimum level?

Re: TruCLient Protocol - High Resource Utilization on Load Generator Machines

Hi Sharad,

TruClient has a higher foot print than web protocol as it spins up a browser instance per user.

meaning - 25 Vuser = 25 browsers that are opened on the Load Generator.

You can view this in the task manager of the Load Generator to see that the CPU & memory utilization is most probably caused by the browser processes.

You can look at this documentation part to trouble shoot load issues you face with TruClient - perhaps it can help.

Thanks,

Lior
