Trucleint -12.53 - Failed end event - step network timeout error https: etc

Jump to solution

I am trying to record an activity that will get updated after clicking on update button, but it takes a lot of time to give message as "Activity updated successfully".

By that time message is displayed the script is failed throwing error message as "failed end event- Step network time out error.

Can somebody help me how to proceed further

Hi,

I suggest changing the end event of the step that triggers the message to Action Completed and add a Wait for Object step right after. The wait for object should wait for the object that contains the text "activity updated successfully". Modify the timeout of the Wait for object to take into considerations possible delays.

Wrap the above two steps with a transactions that measures how much time it takes for this operation to be performed

Shlomi

Hi,

There might be some async HTTP requests that take longer to respond in some cases. I suggest changing the end event to Step sync network completed in order to see if it is more stable

Hi Shlomi,

I have changed the end event to Step synchronous network completed but still having same problem.

My problem is an activitity should be updated through update button. once the activity is updated , i will get message as "activity updated successfulle". I captured that through  "If ...verify" exists as pass else fail.

Sometimes its capturable and sometimes its failing. what todo. I need this for my load test. If this is not capturable my transaction will fail.

How to proceed.

Re: Trucleint -12.53 - Failed end event - step network timeout error https: etc

Hi KHB,

The end event for the Wait for Object step should be Action Completed

The logic behind it is that TruClient waits until an object appears in the DOM. Once it appears the wait action is completed. If you wait for additional activity (e.g. additional network activity) in some cases it might happen, in others it might not hence it will make the step less "stable"
