web_reg_save_param_xpath with ReturnXML=Yes and SelectAll=Yes

Jump to solution

Hello,

I recently upgraded VuGen to version 12.53 patch 4 from 12.02. I want to save an array of xml values from an xml response but when using SelectAll=Yes and ReturnXML=Yes, it is acting as if ReturnXML is set to No.

Example using a w3chools site:

web_reg_save_param_xpath(
"ParamName=CDs",
"QueryString=//CD",
"ReturnXML=Yes",
"SelectAll=Yes",
"NotFound=Warning",
SEARCH_FILTERS,
"Scope=Body",
LAST);

web_url("cd_catalog.xml",
"URL=http://www.w3schools.com/xml/cd_catalog.xml",
"Resource=0",
"RecContentType=text/xml",
"Referer=http://www.w3schools.com/xml/tryit.asp?filename=tryajax_xml2",
"Snapshot=t16.inf",
"Mode=HTML",
LAST);

Expected Output:

Notify: Saving Parameter "CDs_1 = <CD>\r\n <TITLE>Empire Burlesque</TITLE>\r\n <ARTIST>Bob Dylan</ARTIST>\r\n <COUNTRY>USA</COUNTRY>\r\n <COMPANY>Columbia</COMPANY>\r\n <PRICE>10.90</PRICE>\r\n <YEAR>1985</YEAR>\r\n </CD>".

Notify: Saving Parameter "CDs_2 = <CD>\r\n<TITLE>...

etc.

Observed Output:

Action.c(22): Notify: Saving Parameter "CDs_1 = \n ".
Action.c(22): Notify: Saving Parameter "CDs_2 = \n ".

etc.

Note, this is the same as the output generated when using

web_reg_save_param_xpath(
"ParamName=CDs",
"QueryString=//CD",
"ReturnXML=No",
"SelectAll=Yes",
"NotFound=Warning",
SEARCH_FILTERS,
"Scope=Body",
LAST);

The same thing in 12.02 works as expected.

Thanks.
