How to Enable Cache in LoadRunner Controller using Firefox Browser and Truclient Scripts?

Jump to solution

I have a Truclient Script created in HP LoadRunner 12.50 using Firefox as browser. I would like to determine how to enable the cache or disable it when running in the HP LoadRunner Controller.

Please help.

Hi,

You can disable "New User Simulation" in the run time settings. The first iteration will run without cache and subsquent iterations will enjoy from the cache.

Note that TruClient Firefox runs in private browsing which means the cache will not be persisted in the file system, it will be saved in memory in the browser.

Also, when disabling "New User Simulation" you need to ensure the script knows how to deal with cached pages. For example, you will not need to login in the second iterations since there will already be a live session against the application.
