Saving a LR scenario into Quality Center from the Load Runner Controller

Jump to solution

Once the LR Scenario is saved into the QC data base, can other QC users execute it any time they want to?

The scripts contained in the LR Scenario are currently stored in a folder in the LR Controller Server, can thay stay there or do they need to be stored in the QC database as well?

Will be see any delay added to running the LR Scenario from the QC data base?

If you would like other users to run the LoadRunner scenario on a different Controller machine, you have to upload also the VuGen scripts to QC in order to make sure LoadRunner Controller downloads all the required resources to the machine on which the scenario is going to run.

If you store everythig in Quality Center, there will be some delay, not too big, to download the scenario file and the script files. This delay might be bigger if your QC server is located on one location and the Controller on another one. You will need to weigh whether the benefit of having all the testing assets stored on central location worth the performance overhead coming along with it.

I'd like to note that Performance Center, as a central solution or managing your performance testing project,  should be considered as well as it is much more comprehensive solution.
