Octane to Jira Link item Id's and URL's

Re: Octane to Jira Link item Id's and URL's - Status changed to: Already Offered

ID / URL of Linked entity : so that when an Octane person talks to a Jira/other system person they can tell them what is the related/linked case in their Jira/other entity ID.

When an Octane system is link with a Jira system some team members will work in once system over the other.
An example could be:
Tester 'Johno', logged Octane Defect 15 for a login screen issue.
Connect sync this to Jira creating Jira Defect 123.
Developer 'Jane', picks up jira defect 123 but wants more information.
as Jane and Johno sit next to each other Jane ask Johno about Jira 123.
Johno has no idea about Jira 123 but did log a defect earlier today defect 15.

This is a simple example but you could see how in a meeting if a manager is running through a list of issues every one need to be able to be able to correlate between the systems.
If a Source URL or ID was inserted in the description or as the first comment in the Jira item as it is created it would help with this.
The same needs to be recorded some where in Octane.

An example could be:
Created this Jira record: https://<JiraURL>/browse/OTS-3 This was done by MF Connect and relevant fields will be synced between this records.

URL and ID fields can be mapped like any field in the Types/Fields page of the Connection Wizard.  Typically, customers will create a custom field in the other tool to store these and then map them via MF Connect.

@sveticathanks for that we have implemented the additional fields option for Jira.
There are some system where we will not be given that option due to the target system not being able to modified.
In these case being able to append details or insert a comment when entities are linked would be valuable.
