NA: tracking of script & policy history

NA: tracking of script & policy history

Hello,

This may have been asked prior, but we'd like to see similar handling of scripts (change plan scripts, diag scripts) and Policies as is done with configs - there is current and historic files.

If there is a change, the prior current content is demoted.

This way, if a change to a script or policy is made in error, it can be retrieved easily.

We could also then compare current to prior and visually see what is different (for policy rules, it could be displayed as XML - as if it was exported).

thanks,
Chris

This is a very nice idea and it's a must nowadays.

For policies when i'm doing massive changes i'm moving(creating new) with the same values into another partition/policy tag that was created for archive scope - very time consuming.

I don't want to say anything about the scripts where this is a must, i'm amazed that this is not implemeneted.

Another option, think this was even talked about once but could be mixing with some other function, is Github or similar.

But, it would just be really handy to be able to track changes to content.
