Object groups for cards, sensors with monitoring configuration

Request for new Object Groups for Cards, Node Sensors and Physical Sensors to enable grouping and applying monitoring configuration on these. We are seeing a need to manually un-manage several objects, that either should not be monitored or can’t be disabled on the device. Lots of devices include sensors that will always be in error. This is a pain because we cannot automate this in NNMi. So when new devices are added, operators will have to manually go through these, un-managing whatever should not be monitored. If these could be grouped, we could automate management of these and avoid costly events being created on things we know we don’t want.

Example, new node reports missing psu, even though it can only hold one.

-> Node seeded -> Node creates "false psu" incident -> Event goes to OMi -> Operators create ITSM case -> cases go to NOC -> NOC sends technician to replace PSU -> technician arrives and complaints because no PSU can be inserted -> technical complaints to Network Admins -> Network admins complaint to NNMi admins -> We say: "Known problem, wish we could automate this to ignore these with an object group"...
