SDN Integration for Cisco Meraki Cloud Switch & AP Management Software

SDN Integration for Cisco Meraki Cloud Switch & AP Management Software

I am posting the same ER details here as Support Engineer requested from me.

My customer uses Cisco Meraki application in order to automate its Wireless AP and Switched network on its center and remote branches operating in all over the world. Customer also started to use MicroFocus software to monitor its business services and critical systems. Along with this project customer is offered to replace on board SolarWinds application with MicroFocus NNMi.

Customer want to use MicroFocus NNMi software as long as it has an integration with Cisco Meraki cloud solution. This can be achieved through SDN interface like Cisco ACI since Cisco Meraki switches don't give LLDP/FDB information via snmp protocol. It seems like only SDN integration will bring the layer2 topology information to NNMi.

Cisco Meraki switches don't give enough information via SNMP like port administrative status and layer2 topology information. Like SolarWinds software more sophisticated integration has to be provided.

No workaround is available. Even custom data poller doesn't collect any snmp data from these devices like bandwidth utilization etc.

MicroFocus has to provide a solution to monitor such environments that using Cisco Meraki cloud solution.

Cisco ACI or ESX style SDN integrations can be developed for Cisco Meraki too.
