CPU, Memory and Interface utilizations of all the nodes in our network.

Jump to solution

Hello you guys!

I have configured ISPI performance monitoring to monitor CPU, Memory and Interface utilizations of all the nodes in our network.

Since the performance value is generated by ISPI. I want to know the formula with which the system calculates and generates the output on threshold breach.

Can you please provide the same?

Hi Hung,

You can find the formula of the interface utilization calculation in the KM1463048

http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM1463048

Since the calculation is different for each vendor, so please clarify which devices you want on this topic:

example, Cisco: Memory pool utilization (%) computed using:

CiscoMemPool%Util=((ciscoMemoryPoolUsed / (ciscoMemoryPoolFree + ciscoMemoryPoolUsed)) * 100)

Kindly notice that all performance polling is done via NNMi poller, this data writes to the csv files in the shared folder. NPS consumes the csv files through a set of ETL processes and then write the data into the NPS database. --> The BI server uses data from the database to build reports.

Go to the below URL link in connections for the details ( I have answered someone with the same topic)

 https://connections.houston.hp.com/message/153397#153397

Hope this help!
