Detected query which has been running for PTXHXXMXXS COMMIT

Jump to solution

Greetings and Thank you,

Running 10.00+ on linux and seeing the following message in the nnm-trace.log

Timestamp WARNING [com.hp.ov.nms.topo.ejb.monitor.agents.PostgresHealthAgent] (pool-l-thread-x) Detected query which has been running for PT7H43M19.132S  : COMMIT

1.   is this serious?

2.  How would I determine how to clear it?

Thank you for the info.

I had to  restart services for another reason and the issue did not return.

Hi,

In case of disk failure you will see a message in Postgres logs - see pg_log folder. The Postgres likes if you let it run without clients to allow auto vacuum operation to complete. For this purpose, just stop everything, but run DB:

# ovstop -c

# ovstart nmsdbmgr

That might be also a good idea to force health checking, as far the COMMIT hangs... SQL commands are: # vacuum full; reindex database nnm; - make it running twice. When finished, start NNMi.
