Discovery Progress

Morning everyone,

im using NNMi 9 (version 9.0)

on my old topic i was trying to discover Access Points (but with no luck)

for some reason when im running an auto discover to the Access Points (they are not configured with SNMP)

it just simply does NOTHING! i have a controller (configured with SNMP) and all the Access Points are connected to him.

im trying to discover the Access Points by discovering the Controller itself.

Ive entered into the Auto-Discover the IP of the controller and the IPs of the Access Points that connected to him,

these are the check box that are been checked:

*Discover Included Nodes

*Discover Non-SNMP Devices

*Enable Ping Sweep

is there anyway to see if something is running or if the NNM trying to discover something?

by the way the Ordering number is set to 1 (the Auto Discovery list is EMPTY)

any ideas?

p.s

when i discover it as seed its discovering it instantly.

Best Regards,

Slyfer.

Edit:

about the discovery:

i added the Discover Any SNMP Device (and it instantly found my Contoller) - so basicly im trying to find the progress on the Access Points (if there is any)

also im not talking about check the progress by doing these follow steps:

Help -> System Information -> State Poller (tab) or Custom Poller (tab) = from that way i cant understand what he is trying to discover....

or the other way:

Workspaces->Inventory->Nodes (and look for the ones that are discovered...)

did you define an IP address range in your discovery rule ?

Can the management server ping the nodes ?

Have a nice day 🙂

Did you change the ping sweep combo box to the selection "Each Rule (as configured)" ?

Have a nice day 🙂
