Execute a nnmbackup.ovpl same NNM but different OS

Hi Team!

*) Is it possible to restore an application backup made over an NNM v10.00 Patch 0006, in RHEL 6.4,
and restore it, in an NNM v10.00 Patch 0006, for example, in RHEL 6.10?

Origin Command:
nnmbackup.ovpl -type online -scope all -target /backup/nnm-bak-2018120803300

NNM 10.00 Patch 0006 / OS RHEL 6.4

Restore Command:
/opt/OV/bin/nnmrestore.ovpl -force -source /backup/nnm-bak-2018120803300

NNM 10.00 Patch 0006 / OS RHEL 6.10

My customer wants to  migrate the Operating System, and wants to go this way.

Have anyone have this situation?

Any comment will help!

Kind regards,

Ivonne

Re: Execute a nnmbackup.ovpl same NNM but different OS

I tested with your commands in following scenario as I dont have bits for 10.00

CentOS  6.5    NNMi 10.20 with latest Patch   (backup)

CentOS  6.10   NNMi 10.20 with latest patch  (restore)

Worked fine and restored NNMi working fine.

Earlier I had tested CentOS  upgrade  from 6.5 to 6.10  having NNMi 10.20. NNMi worked fine after the OS updates without issues.

Welcome.

For records, I also tested following scenario with success for an upcoming upgrade scenario.

CentOS 6.10   NNMi 2018.11 (postgres)   ---> Cent OS 7.5   NNMi 2018.11  (postgres)
