Thanks.

Re: HP NNMi 9: change remote Oracle database

Hello Quyenta,

Some settings are at <NNMDataDir>\shared\nnm\conf\props in the nnm-server.properties file:

# oracle settings

#!com.hp.ov.nms.oracle.host=localhost

#!com.hp.ov.nms.oracle.port=1521

#!com.hp.ov.nms.oracle.sid=nnm

My suggestion is that open the nnm-server.properties file, and edit the following lines

com.hp.ov.nms.oracle.host=<your_localhost>

com.hp.ov.nms.oracle.port=<your_port>

com.hp.ov.nms.oracle.sid=<your_SID>

Then restart the ovjboss to let NNMi take effect. "ovstop/ovstart ovjboss"

Hope this help.!

Will keep you posted if I get more info related to this!

Best Regards,

Dong

Re: HP NNMi 9: change remote Oracle database

To complete the loop:

use nnmchangedbpw.ovpl to change the DB user/password values:

# nnmchangedbpw.ovpl

WARNING: Please make sure NNM has been stopped before running this tool.
Failure to stop NNM could result in unexpected database failures.

Have you stopped NNM (ovstop)? [n] y
Thank you!

Please provide a database user account name.
user: mydbuser

Please provide the password for database user account.
password: mynewpw
enter password again: mynewpw
