HP NPS 10.20 installation failed on window 2012

Hi Experts,

I tried installing NPS 10.20 on windows 2012, fresh installation.

But this failed with multiple finalize action warnings.

Can anyone suggest if NPS 10.20 s supported on 2012 windows as I am not able to see any documents for this.

Finalize action failed for multiple components.

Please help.

Re: HP NPS 10.20 installation failed on window 2012

Hi Hanumant,

NPS supports some of the WIN12 versions(unlike NNMi only seems to support R2 versions) and they may be checked in the premium or ultimate support-matrix at the "Operating Systems" section however, if the installer did not complain explicitly about the OS version then your problem may be somewhere else.

Recommend executing the command "initializeNPS.ovpl" and the output should indicate which components succeeded and which ones Failed to install. Per the onscreen instructions, please indicate the number to the components that failed in ascending order and press enter.

If it still fails the recommendation would be to check the log files (each log file is labeled per component) and if revised the cause may be found. Log files should be in the following location:

%NPS_Data_Dir%logs/installogs_<timestamp>/*

If unable to determine/correct the cause from the log files please submit a support ticket with the full output of the initialize command as well as the installation logs.

Regards,

Rafa
