How to modify the conditions to raise a "Powersupply" incident on NNMi 10.20

Hi experts,

After an NNMi upgrade (10.00 > 10.20), some HP switches (HP-5130-48G-PoE) are displaying a "Major" state due to the incident "Power Supply is Out of Range or Malfunctioning". These devices have generally at least 2 Power Supplies (AC & DC), but are actually connected only to one source of power. That is shown on the Status Poll of the device (in this case, the device has 3 pairs of power supply):

Policy: H3C Power supply Monitoring [HH3C-LswDEVM-MIB]

Poller: NnmSnmpPoller, Target Responding: true, Poll Successful: true, Poll Duration: 140 mSec

Object         | powerSupply

Power Supply 3 | 1 (Normal)

Power Supply 4 | 2 (Crítico)

Power Supply 5 | 1 (Normal)

Power Supply 6 | 2 (Crítico)

Power Supply 1 | 1 (Normal)

Power Supply 2 | 2 (Crítico)

As you can see, while the device is functional, NNMi detects this issue and raises the incidenct, generating a status change on the node.

Is there any way we can modify the process of this metric so that it doens't raise a critical incident/conclusion

Info of the incident:

 Thanks for your help.

Hello Angel

Thanks for posting

I think you can check the deployment reference, under configuring sensor status chapter at page #217.

Probably that is what you are looking for.

Let me know if that works,

Re: How to modify the conditions to raise a "Powersupply" incident on NNMi 10.20

Hi Vicent,

Thanks for the information, it is really useful. As I understand, modifying this parameter enables/disables completely the propagation of a Sensor and allows you to map severities between both objects.

Is there any way to assign a more custom rule? For example: a chassis has 4 PowerSupply sensors, would it be possible to customize the rule for best/worst status of the group, or something like "more than 2 in critical status", instead of enable/disable completely the propagation?

Thank you very much,
