Re: Interface is not in device, but NNMi trigger alerts for interface down

Hi,

i found the device is resolving with some other host name. but its actual host name is different, that i could confirm it by seeing it sysName on the node form. now i wonder the the conflict host name's ip address is not existing nnmi, but it was added earlier in the tool (where i could confirm by seeds page). why nnmi takes other some  host names  updaetd in the  node form field. attached is the screen reference from the problem node.

Re: Interface is not in device, but NNMi trigger alerts for interface down

Hi, Tamiz

picture you attached is very uncler...  Please  recheck nodes management IP addresses  (SNMP agent addresses).
Can you resolve FQDN from these IP addreses?
What is node name assignment order in  your NNMi ? Default one: FQDN- > Sysname- > IP ?

Can you select InterfaceDown alarm, right-clich and run action "Source Node" (or "Source Object") . What node is opened?

Gedas
