License expired after virtual machine moving

Hi all,
after a virtual machine moving to a new host server we are receiving a lot of email from NNM (version 9.20) with 2 warnings:
- QASPI Licensing Extension is not responding. See log for more detail.
- NCIM Licensing Extension is not responding. See log for more detail.

If I go to see "Licensing Information" (under Help -> System Information) the "Instant-On" license is expired 3 years ago but before the moving we don't receive any emails regarding this problem. What could be happened?

Re: License expired after virtual machine moving

I've seen something similar in the past where the Instant-On licenses will create various alerts, especially after an application restart. (Sounds like your VM move involved a full VM restart, not a vMotion?)

The best thing to do is remove the Instant On licenses. It's a bit of a pain, because you have to re-launch the license GUI with each of the different options, but it only takes a few minutes. Remove those, and the messages will go away.
