List Signed In Users With Current NNMi Role

Jump to solution

Hi all,

Signed In Users in the NNMi UI retrieves and lists the current active users togehter with Address (IP) and Sign In Time.

Any suggestions to how this information could be retrived in CLI, and if possible including the current NNMi role on each Signed In User?

I'm aware of the signin.log feature, which gives a historic perspective. I'm looking for a more real time view (as in the UI) and also including the current NNMi role.

Hello Torgeir,

There is much more information about this and how it can be interpreted from this KM doc:

KM02775213  How is the number of active sessions in the health report calculated

So this should help you use this feature.

Best regards,

Douglas.

Hello Torgeir,
You might be able to glean this information from the output from nnmhealth.ovpl -print verbose. At the end of the listing it shows if any users are logged in, and the username and role. There are though 2 sessiones for each user from what I can see. This is an example of what to look for:

 Active Session #1/2:
      id:E3805F3BE26E2A313EFAF15F4257D9B0
      creationTime:1517232621712 (Mon Jan 29 13:30:21 GMT 2018, 29.3 seconds ago)
      lastAccessedTime:1517232645458 (Mon Jan 29 13:30:45 GMT 2018, 5.6 seconds ago)
      maxInactiveInterval:4.2 hours (15000 seconds)
      attributeNames:[NMSCSRFTOKEN, isOpeningMainPage, console]
      consoleBean:
        userName:admin currentRole:Administrator locale:en_GB
        binders(1):
          #1: com.hp.ov.nms.ui.framework.console.ConsoleBinder binderId:ConsoleBinder
        views(1):
          #1: uuid:796da26c-0bc4-4c46-90ff-395f2578f45e viewInfo:MapView[isPathMap:false id:installationDefaultInitialDiscoveryProgressView nameKey:Initial Discovery Progress]

I hope that this is of help.

With best regards,
Douglas

Hi Douglas,

Thanks for the tip. The nnmhealth.ovpl output can be useful. And as you pointed out it seems like each UIServletSession is listed twice. Different Session number, but same id, creationTime and lastAccessedTime...

Is this 'as designed'? Do you know why?
