Monitoring VMWare Infra

There are multiple ways to monitor the VMWare infrastructure e.g. using NNMi, BSM connector or SiteScope templates for VMWare but what is the best way to monitor the VMWare infra along with the Performance Metric reporting.

Deepak

Re: Monitoring VMWare Infra

Hi,

If you use NNMi to monitor the VMWare Infra, kindly notice on the support matrix document detail. If you are using the NNMi version 10.30 ( latest version of NNMi), you can refer to this link:

It will list detail the version VMWare supported by NNMi monitoring product.

If you still have any concern, please clarify detail then I can understand and help you much

Re: Monitoring VMWare Infra

Thanks Nga,

I know we can monitor VM Infra using NNMi but can't we monitor the same parameters using SiteScope or OpsCX, if yes, then why do we need NNMi for VM Infra monitoring? is this the best solution among all the other options/Microfocus Tools?

Re: Monitoring VMWare Infra

Hello Deepak,

the discovery and monitoring in NNMi is focused on the network side of VMWare. OpsBridge looks deeper in the VMWare environment and is used to really monitor that.

HTH and kind regards
