Multiple NodeDown Events created in NNMi with in polling interval

Hi Team

We have configured the Node Group and configured the ICMP Polling interval 5mins, but NodeDown event cancelled by "NodeUp" with in 5mins and re-created the another NodeDown Alerts.

For Example: ICMP Polling is 5mins and NodeDown alerts got created at 10:00am and it got canceled/cleared by NodeUP at 10:01am, again NodeDown alert got created at 10:02am. due to this we got two NodeDown alerts with in 5mins.

Any one had this issue? if yes, what is the RCA and solution?

We are running NNMi10.20 version.

Regards

mohan

Re: Multiple NodeDown Events created in NNMi with in polling interval

Hi Mohan,

NNMi have the capability to auto assign the management IP address polling by ICMP or SNMP, in your case, it might look for snmp polling which might be set lower intervals than you have one for ICMP.
