(NNM iSPI TRAFFIC) Support Tip : Traffic master can not communicate with Leaf

Hi Everyone,

If you have Traffic Leaf and NNMi 10.10 in Co-located environment and after installing NNMi patch you may have issue with Traffic Master not communicating with leaf.

If you seeing similar error below from jbossServer.log in master server :-

"2018-01-09 21:57:01,133 ERROR [org.jboss.ws.core.CommonClient] (Timer-7) Exception caught while (preparing for) performing the invocation: : java.net.ConnectException: Could not connect to ....
at org.jboss.ws.core.client.transport.NettyTransportHandler.getChannel(NettyTransportHandler.java:169)
at java.util.TimerThread.run(Timer.java:505)
Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information
at sun.nio.ch.SocketChannelImpl.checkConnect(Native Method)"

The reason you are getting this error is because the jars /opt/OV/nmsas/server/nms/lib/nms-as-shared-ejb.jar and /opt/OV/nmsas/server/nms/lib/nms-as-shared-lib-common.jar are being updated by NNMi patch.

The solution to fix thie problem is as follows :-

Stop traffic-leaf process. - nmstrafficleafstop.ovpl
Remove these two files:

Start traffic-leaf -nmstrafficleafstart.ovpl

Best Regards,
