NNMI 9.20 communication issues with OVO 9.10

So we have NNMi set up to receive traps from nodes, which are then forwarded to OVO.

This has worked for I don’t even know how long with no issues but recently i was requested to implement v3 traps for some devices, so I executed the steps here (https://docs.microfocus.com/NNMi/10.30/Content/Administer/nmAdminHelp/nmAdmConfInci0809setSNMPv3forNNMiServer.htm) to implement it.

However, since doing that none of the traps NNM is receiving v1 or v2 are being sent. I'd really appreciate it if someone would help me trouble shoot this issue.

Thank you,

Edit: This was so basic. The forward rule was changed for some reason that prevented the alarm from being send to OM

Re: NNMI 9.20 communication issues with OVO 9.10

Hello Anupam

Thanks for posting,

for troubleshooting this issue we will need to enable the logging level of NNMi>

1- /opt/OV/support/nnmsetlogginglevel.ovpl com.hp.ov.nnm.northbound FINEST

2- Send some traps to NNMi (write down the OID of the trap)

3- Wait 5 minutes

4- /opt/OV/support/nnmsetlogginglevel.ovpl com.hp.ov.nnm.northbound INFO

5- Collect the logs.

6- Share the logs

Please remember that 9.2x is ending the committed support. I recommend you to upgrade your system to the latest version.
