NNMi 8 - Threshold Rearm

Jump to solution
I'm having difficulty understanding the purpose of "Rearm" in thresholds.
For example a High Value Rearm, according to the manual, is "Designate the percentage that when reached would indicate the end of a high threshold situation."

So is it correct to say that if I set the High Value to 80% and the High Value Rearm to 70% for CPU utilization and at one point, the utilization reached 85%. An event will be raised accordingly but if utilization falls to 75%, the event will not be closed until the utilization has gone below 70%???

hi,

the purpose of "Rearm" is as following:

if you set the High Value to 80% and the High Value Rearm to 70% for CPU utilization the event will be created when the utilization reached 85%. if the CPU utilization be 75% and then 86% again, no events will be created until the CPU become lower than 70%, so the case will be if the event become less than 70% and then more than 80% >>>> at this point a new event will be created,
some people make the high trigger same as the high value rearm (so if the event happened , a rearm happened at the same time)

you can image this as a shotgun >>> you cannot shoot unless you rearm the gun with a new cartage 🙂

wish this helps 🙂

assign points is appreciated

thanks
