NNMi 9: Save layout failed

Hi,

We have NNMi 9, running on RHEL.

What we tried to do in Topology Maps:

1) Rearrange the topology into (wheel like)

2) Do a "Save layout" , no error message

3) After sometime (30min to 1 hour), the topology is back to the  attached.

Any idea why, we can't rearrange the nodes & "Save layout" permanently?

Re: NNMi 9: Save layout failed

Hello,

please have a look in nnm log file (for newer versions the name is nnm.log) while you are saving the layout. Does it show any error message?

Re: NNMi 9: Save layout failed

Checked the nnm.0.0.log, when I save the layout, message written is:

Sending notification to console:Successfully stored map positions for the "XYZ" Node Group.

No error.

Re: NNMi 9: Save layout failed

Hi,

if I recall correct, new object on a customized map layout are placed on a new bottom icon row.

So it looks like this network icon has been newly created and placed bottom left.

Maybe a topology change (new interfaces on a node) has triggered this.

But I expect NNM would update the existing one (and leave it on place), rather than replacing it by a new one.

Regards
