NNMi GUI not displaying

Jump to solution

I'm running   NNM 10.40.125 on a  RHEL 7.6 VM.  Trying to bring up the NNMi GUI.  IE does show the tab as being “Network Node Manager” but the page is blank.

I've done the following checks and even rebooted, but they didn't help.

[root@onenet localadmin]# /opt/OV/bin/ovstop -c
Name PID State Last Message(s)
nnmaction 8637 DONE Exited due to user request
nnmtrapreceivermd 7014 DONE Exited due to user request
nnmaction 8637 DONE Exited due to user request
ovjboss 7305 DONE Exiting due to user request.
nmsdbmgr 7029 DONE Exited due to user request
OVsPMD 6926 DONE -
ovspmd: No HP OpenView services are running.
[root@onenet localadmin]#

[root@onenet localadmin]# /opt/OV/bin/ovstart -c
Name PID State Last Message(s)
OVsPMD 12718 RUNNING -
nnmtrapreceivermd 12721 RUNNING Initialization complete. Trap Receiver is running.
nmsdbmgr 12720 RUNNING Initialization complete.
ovjboss 12760 RUNNING Initialization complete.
nnmaction 13437 RUNNING Initialization complete.
ovspmd: Attempt to start HP OpenView services is complete.

[root@onenetmt localadmin]# /opt/OV/bin/ovstatus -c
Name PID State Last Message(s)
OVsPMD 12718 RUNNING -
nnmaction 13437 RUNNING Initialization complete.
nnmtrapreceivermd 12721 RUNNING Initialization complete. Trap Receiver is running.
nmsdbmgr 12720 RUNNING Initialization complete.
ovjboss 12760 RUNNING Initialization complete.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I can get the NNMi GUI to display ?

Thanks,

wbrunc

If everything else suggested seems to be working then try running on a
different browser . sometimes its the cache issue.

My experience has been that when JBOSS starts and makes it to running state and UI has issues could be certificate related issues [assuming HTTP is disabled and HTTPS is enabled].

Is the certificate expired?

Also, maybe look at the boot.log in /var/opt/OV/log/nnm [on Linux, not sure about the path on Windows], and nnm-trace.log file in same directory.

Also, checking the output from ovstatus -v

There should be 24 services running, similar to this image:

I had gotten the GUI  in the past using IE, even though the certificate was expired. So I was sticking with IE.

However, your suggestion of using a different browser worked.  The GUI came up fine using Firefox.  Thanks.
