NNMi Northbound Integretation

Hi all,

I have installed and configured NNi 9.20 on a new system, we are also using the Northbound Interface to forward the arriving snmp traps towards another system and everything seems to works fine.

We configured the Northbound Interface to only send some traps using the OID filters but we have a problem in recovering the OID used.

Does anyone know if there is/are any kind of configuration files where I can find this information?

Thank you very much  in advance, any help is really appreciated?

Regards, Roberto.

Re: NNMi Northbound Integretation

Roberto,

The trap that is forwarded will have the same OID as the original trap and will then have the varbinds that are defined in the MIB that was loaded that defines the trap and which were found in the original trap.   After these varbinds there are then soem 34 varbinds added by NNMi to provide context information about the source Node etc.   If you are missing any of the original varbinds then ensure the MIB that defines the trap is loaded and the trap is defined with the necessary varbinds.

You can get information on the HP varbinds added from the hp-nnmi-nbi.mib  MIB file under <NnmInstallDir>/misc/nnm/snmp-mibs/Vendor/Hewlett-Packard/.    Check out the section   nnmi3rdPartyEvObjectsGroup

  Hope this helps
