NPS Sizing in Distributed Environment

We have a large environment and we need your recommendation regarding NPS sizing in ditstributed environment.

Environment Deatails:

NNMi v 10.02 in AF Environment embedded DB

ISPI for Metric, QA, Traffic (4 leaf collectors), "IPT will be implemented soon"

We are facing a very poor performance in NPS

Monitored objects summary:

Nodes 4000

Interfaces 140000

Traffic Nodes 300

QOS Interfaces 600

QA Probes 11

We need your recommendation if we separate NPS roles to two servers or three how much resources will we need for each roles.

Re: NPS Sizing in Distributed Environment

The NNM iSPI Performance for Metrics Deployment Reference Guide provides some advices in the "Tuning NPS" specific section.

See https://softwaresupport.hp.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM01887578

If the information there are not enough and/or if you have any further questions on the particular distributed deployment settings, I would recommend you to open a case to Support. The "Tuning NPS" section of the documentation could be enhanced further to include additional recommendations regarding the NPS distributed deployment.

All the best
