No userName was specified. Check that rconfig/npskey.properties exists.

Hello,

after a update from 10.10 to 10.30 with nnmi and ispi i get the error:

No userName was specified. Check that rconfig/npskey.properties exists.

It is a Linux installation!

I checked the internet for a soluntion, but no success!

I have checked the files on both systems:

NNMI file exist and i put in a key with the lenght of 16 char:

/var/opt/OV/shared/nnm/conf/npskey.properties

ISPI file exist and i put in the same key with the lenght of 16 char:

/var/opt/OV/NNMPerformanceSPI/rconfig/npskey.properties

and in the file:

/var/opt/OV/shared/perfSpi/conf/nms-crypto-config.xml

i put the right directory of the npskey.properties file:

<keys>
    <keyFile>
        <name>npskey.token</name>
        <file>/var/opt/OV/NNMPerformanceSPI/rconfig/npskey.properties</file>
    </keyFile>
</keys>

I restarted both systems and still the same error!

Any ideas?

Were you able to figure out his problem?  I'm having the same issue right now and we are in the middle of an upgrade from 10.10 to 10.30

Unfortunately, not.

I also open a case, but no solution until now.

Re: No userName was specified. Check that rconfig/npskey.properties exists.

Did you run the nnmenableperfspi.ovpl command on your NNMi server?

Re: No userName was specified. Check that rconfig/npskey.properties exists.

when you ran the command did it ask to use a previous configuration file for your nps?

check directory: /opt/OV/newconfig/

Do you have a nnmEnableNps.Date.cfg file here? Does it match your NPS?

It's weird to me that the nnmenableperfspi.ovpl won't work. We had the same issue when we upgraded and this solved it for our test and prod servers
