Node Component Status not polled

Jump to solution

Hi Team,

I have following node monitoring setting based on requirement.

Ordering

Name

Enable SNMP Polling on Node

Enable Management Address Polling

Enable IP Address Fault Polling

Enable Interface Fault Polling

Enable Node Component Fault Polling

Poll Unconnected Interfaces

Poll Interfaces Hosting IP Addresses

Enable Number of interfaces (ifNumber) Polling

Enable Entity Change Time (entLastChangeTime) Polling

ICMP (60 Sec)

With in 1 min once the device is down, based on first rule I would get an alert.

Now i see that all node components are discovered but not polled.

Any inputs how can i get the node components gets polled as , as part of next 5 mins polling after ICMP by SNMP alerts should be triggered if any issues.

Thanks and Regards,

DVN

Learn and follow the golden rule of NNMI fault and performance monitoring:

Only one Fault or Performance setting will be applied to any object.

Fault and monitoring settings are applied in this order FIRST MATCHING RULE WINS!

Interface setting    lowest valued rule to highest.

Node Setting           lowest valued rule to highest.

General Setting

To see what rule is being applied, open up the object form (interface, node, componenet) Actions->Configuration Details->Monitoring Settings.

Have a nice day 🙂

Hello WW,

It's important let you know that some times, it kinfo of issues needs some investigation, because on this request, we can have a lot of causes.

However, I would like to help you to discard if this is a configuration or device issue as well. Can you please confirm me the following:

-Are you try to add this device into a NOde Group, Important Node Group for example?

-Also, you have this node into a interface a group? I asume that you add the device as a seed.

-Then, I would like to know with the OID of the device , if is supoorted, can you provide me the OID?

-Have you a Firewall on the Network at this moment?

Last, for the minutes that NNMi takes to send you the incident, it depends of the hardware en realtion to the environment.

Hello DVN,

Does the devices respond to the nnmsnmpwalk?

#nnmsnmpwalk.ovpl -T <node_IP>

#nnmsnmpwalk.ovpl -v 2c -c <Community> <node_ip>

What is the current status of this node? >> Open the node and take full screenshot (general tab) and upload on this.

Output of command:

#nnmconfigpoll.ovpl -v <NodeIP>
#nnmconfigpoll.ovpl -v -node <NodeIP>

How many nodes with the issue? Did you face this before?

All the best.!

hi guys,

We are facing the same issue, performance node components of all the nodes in our environment are not getting polled (CPU, Mem).

Kindly respond on this.
